Geneva Botanical Gardens

Next to the United Nations you can find the “Geneva Botanical Gardens”. It is a amazing garden that, in addition to plants from all the continents, it has: The flower Garden, The Garden of Five Senses, a fun playground, an animal park (with ducks, flamingos, goats, roosters, deers, sheeps…) and beautiful views. For all this reasons it is a fantastic place to have a walk.

Yvoire

Again, another village next to the Lake Geneva, although this time it is a french one. This one is like it’s been taken from a tale. It sits on the shore of the lake, there aren't any cars and it’s full of small houses with beautiful flowers… everything is lovely. We only had a problem: the wind. It was a windy day, the cold was terrible. But we  solved the problem having a delicious fondue for lunch.

I went there with my brother, sons and with a friend that we have met here, in Ferney. She told us she had been to Yvoire this last summer, and that in that season it is even more beautiful, because all the houses are open and there are a lot of handmade products shops.

Here is where we live, but very soon I will be back there to Tres Cantos!

Annecy

Annecy is a French city, only 35 km away of Geneva. It is not in Switzerland but it is very close.
What can I tell you about this marvellous place? I think everything there is beautiful. We walked alongside the lake surrounded by the glorious mountains, and had a walk through the lovely streets all decorated with flowers. It reminded me of Venice, because it also has a canal.

Lausanne

45 minutes away of Geneva it is Lausanne. It is a small city situated on the shore of lake Leman. We were there in a rainy day but we could have a walk and see part of the city and the magnificent cathedral.
Maybe you have recently heard about this city, because the headquarters of the International Olympic Committee are here.

Place du Molard

In the centre of Geneva there is a square (french Place) that I love it very much. At night, some of the paving stones are lighted and contain messages in different languages. I took some photos for you.
